Persistence is easy to recognize as it requires hard work. Obsession is not, as it is a state that you do not control. Obsession is general considered not to be very healthy, if you can be lucky enough to be aware that you have obsessive tendencies. What can you do?
The biggest steps is just being aware, you can than start to implement steps to change your behaviour and thought pattern.
It is a very thin line between two, many of the projects that I have been involved in music and work have shown instances were the line has become blurred.
Time to take heed.
